Components:
1. Series SR Motor:  Foredom's most popular and best motor for general use. The 1/6 hp, ball bearing, hang-up style M.SR runs in forward and reverse at speeds up to 18,000 RPM. It offers substantially more power than any of our older universal motors - 66% more than Series CC and 33% more than Series S and old SR motors. It comes equipped with a motor bale for hanging, and our standard 39" long key-tip inner shaft and outer sheath for connecting to any of Foredom’s 20+ interchangeable handpieces.  
2. C.FCT Speed Control: Foredom's most popular foot operated speed control. It has solid state electronics and comes in a heavy duty plastic housing with an extra wide design.
3. H.44T Handpiece:  This collet style handpiece is popular among woodcarvers as it accomodates larger accessories with shank diameters up to 1/4". It comes with 3/32", 1/8" and 1/4" collets. The tapered design allows for close and safe work. The H.44T is a member of the Foredom system of interchangeable handpieces.
4. AKWK53 Accessory Kit: 26 pc. assortment with 3/32", 1/8" and 1/4" shank accessories. It includes many unique items from Foredom- ScotchBrite Radial Bristle Discs, Purple Ceramic Sanding Bands and Discs, Typhoon Burs, V Stones, CeramCut Blue Stones, and more.

For high speed applications up to 38,000 rpm including light deburring of cast pieces, bright cutting in jewelry making and fine detailing in wood.

Kit includes control box, handpiece with 3/32" collet, variable speed foot control, handpiece cradle, spare pair of motor brushes, spare fuse and collet changing wrenches.

Compared to flex shafts, micro motors have much less torque, however, the higher speed results in a comparable rate of material removal with a lighter touch. The simple cord connection between the handpiece motor and control box is another key advantage. Unlike the "drag" and general restriction in maneuverability you have with a shaft and sheath, micro motors offer much greater freedom of movement.

Foredom Radial Bristle Discs

A new type of abrasive that is superior to sandpaper, flap wheels, or other types of sanders. Their flexible bristles can sand areas with detail, irregular, curved, or flat surfaces on soft or hard wood. Carvers can remove the "fuzzies". These unqiue discs from 3M are a new type of abrasive that is superior to sandpaper, flap wheels, or other types of sanders, brushes, or abrasive wheels. Their flexible bristles can reach into areas with detail and irregular, curved, or flat surfaces.

Woodcarvers will appreciate how well they remove the "fuzzies" without harming any of the underlying detail.

Individual discs are stacked to make a brush. Depending on the application, you will want to stack between three and six discs. Be sure to closely follow the directions in the package so that the discs are stacked and mounted properly onto a handpiece.
